Got pain at the base

Got pain at the base of your heel when walking, running or jumping? It could be Achilles Tendinopathy. 🦶

Achilles Tendinopathy occurs when the Achilles tendon becomes overloaded and the tissue begins to break down. It's a common condition in both active people and those who are on their feet a lot throughout the day.

Pain typically develops gradually and can range from a dull ache to sharp discomfort that makes everyday movement difficult. Left untreated, it tends to worsen over time and become significantly harder to manage. 😬

The good news is that with the right assessment and a progressive loading program, most people recover well and return to full activity. 💪

At West Lakes Physio, we can assess your Achilles, identify what's driving the problem and build a rehab plan to get you back on your feet properly.

Still hoping that pa

Still hoping that pain will just go away on its own? 🤔

It's one of the most common things we hear; people putting up with discomfort for weeks, months or even longer before finally deciding to get it looked at.

The truth is, pain that isn't resolving on its own is usually a sign that something needs attention. Left too long, many conditions become harder to treat and take significantly longer to recover from.

Getting assessed early gives you the best chance of a quicker, more straightforward recovery. 💡

At West Lakes Physio, we can help identify what's going on and put a plan in place to get you feeling better sooner rather than later. 💪

Don't wait until it gets worse. Now is the right time. 🙌

Back pain shouldnt s

Back pain shouldn't stop you from enjoying the everyday moments that matter most.

Whether it's picking up your kids, getting through a day at work or just moving around the house comfortably, back pain has a way of affecting everything.

A lot of people put up with it for far too long, not realising that the right physio assessment and treatment plan can make a real difference to how they feel day to day.

At West Lakes Physio, we work with you to identify what's driving your back pain and put together a plan to help you move better, feel stronger and get back to the things you love. 💪

You don't have to just manage it. You can actually fix it. 🙌

Tendon injuries are

Tendon injuries are one of the most common things we treat at West Lakes Physio, and they're often more preventable than people realise. 💡

Tendons are designed to adapt to stress by becoming stronger over time. The issue arises when load increases too quickly and the tendon doesn't have enough time to keep up. This is when pain, inflammation and injury develop.

Whether it's your Achilles, patellar tendon, rotator cuff or elbow, the approach to recovery is similar; a gradual, progressive loading program that helps the tendon rebuild its capacity safely. 💪

Ignoring tendon pain and pushing through rarely works. The longer it's left, the longer it tends to take to resolve.

At West Lakes Physio, we can assess your tendon, identify what's driving the problem and build a plan to get you back to full strength. 🙌
