Women’s health is unique and important at every stage of life. At West Lakes Physio – Sports & Rehab, we understand that many women’s health issues — including pelvic floor weakness, bladder leakage and pregnancy-related pain — can feel complex and are often placed lower on the priority list while caring for others.

Women's Health Physio

Our physiotherapist, Crystal, has a special interest in Women’s Health and pelvic floor rehabilitation. As a mother of two, she understands both the physical and practical challenges that can come with pregnancy, postnatal recovery and the demands of everyday life.

We recognise that discussing personal or sensitive health concerns can feel uncomfortable. Our aim is to provide a supportive, respectful and confidential environment where you feel at ease, listened to and empowered to take care of your health with confidence.

Our approach focuses on restoring strength, improving function and helping you return to the activities you enjoy with confidence.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your appointment will be a private, one-on-one consultation in our purpose-built physiotherapy clinic.

We will begin with a thorough discussion about your concerns, symptoms, medical history, and goals. This helps us understand your individual needs and ensures your care is tailored specifically to you.

Womens Health Assessment

A physical assessment may be completed as part of your session. This may include observation of movement, posture, breathing patterns, Real Time Ultrasound (RTUS) and an external assessment of the pelvic floor where appropriate. No internal examinations are performed as part of this service.
You are always in control during your appointment. We will explain each step clearly, and you are welcome to ask questions or pause at any time.

Following your assessment, we will work together with you to provide individualised and evidence-informed treatment. This may include education, exercises, bio-feedback devices and practical strategies to support your recovery and day-to-day function.

We look forward to assisting and working with you towards your Women’s health goals.
