Physio Supervised Group Exercise Sessions

Our group sessions are ideal if you want structure, support, and accountability while you improve strength, mobility, and control. Best suited to peolpe that can navigate safely on and off equipment independently but need help to ensure you are performing your  specific exercises correctly.

These sessions may include:

  • Pilates equipment exercises
  • Resistance bands and fit balls
  • Balance and stability work
  • Weights and functional strength training
  • Technique coaching and tailored progressions

Focus areas: movement control, posture, flexibility, balance, core and specific strength work based on your issues.

Steps to get started on attending a Supervised Exercise Class at the Clinic

  • Book in with a physio for an assessment- (please call the clinic for this appointment so we can schedule it at a time that the gym is available).
  • Have 2 or 3, one on one sessions with the physio to set up your program
  • Attend one of our small classes supervised by the physiotherapist
  • Reassessment every 3 – 6 months to re-examine individual goals and update program.

Classes For Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis- GLA:D Programme (Good life with Arthritis: Denmark )

The GLA:D Australia program is a 6-week education and supervised exercise program for hip and knee osteoarthritis.   Current international guidelines recommend patient education, exercise and weight loss as the most effective first-line treatment for knee and hip osteoarthritis. The GLA:D® program incorporates all three components,  All our Physiotherapists that supervise GLA:D® classes are accredited providers of this Internationally recognised program. If home training or your local gym is the best fit, we’ll still provide a clear, progressive plan so you know exactly what to do.

You’ll receive:

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly. If needed, we can liaise with your GP or specialist.

Do you treat neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease or stroke?
We’re happy to help where appropriate. Because neurological conditions can involve more complex needs, we often recommend a Neurophysio who has specific training in equipment prescription, home modifications, splinting and spasticity management.
If you’re stable and can transfer safely with minimal assistance, we may be able to continue supporting you with exercise and strengthening. Please get in touch and we’ll help you work out the best next step.

Can I claim private health rebates?

In many cases, yes — supervised physiotherapy sessions are often claimable (cover depends on your fund and level).

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on your injury, goals, and starting point. We’ll give you a clear plan after your initial assessment.

What if I flare up after exercise?
